ABSTRACT In the context of tomographic cosmic shear surveys, a theoretical model for one-point statistics aperture mass (Map) is developed. This formalism based on application large deviation principle to projected matter density field and more specifically angular masses. The latter holds advantage being an observable that can be directly extracted from observed be, by construction, independent long wave modes. Furthermore, we show that, with help nulling procedure so-called BNT transform, it possible build observables depend only finite range redshifts making them also small-scale makes predictions shape probability distribution function such very accurate, comparable what had been previously obtained 3D observables. Comparisons specific simulations reveal however inconsistent results showing synthetic lensing maps were not accurate enough refined It points need precise dedicated numerical developments whose performances could benchmarked We furthermore review systematics affect in future weak-lensing surveys like Euclid, notably impact noise as well leading corrections coming lend–lens couplings, geodesic deviation, reduced magnification bias.
